Who is an Architect?

       An architect is a person who plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings. Architects are professionals trained in building design's art and science. An architect is a licensed design and engineering professional who plans, organizes, and oversees the construction of buildings.  Architects develop the concepts for structures and turn those concepts into images and plans, which eventually may become homes, office buildings, and other facilities. Architects' work involves more than just the appearance of a structure. Everything architects design must be functional and safe and meet the needs of those who utilize them.

  • An Architect's primary duty is planning, designing, and overseeing building construction.
  • An Architect's job responsibilities also include considering how the buildings and structures look.

       The salary of an Architect increases with experience in this field. Architects with 1 to 4 years of experience can expect to make roughly Rs. 5 Lac to Rs. 7 Lac per year.

Register and Qualify for the NATA/JEE Main Paper 2 Entrance Examinations for Bachelor of Architcture (B. Arch)   
  • Admission into the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)the course depends on the candidates' performance in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination or Joint Entrance Examination-JEE Main Paper 2. 
  • The Council of Architecture (COA) conducts the NATA exam thrice a year to determine the eligibility factor for BArch college admissions. JEE mains Paper 2 is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) twice yearly.

Enroll for Bachelor of Architcture (B. Arch)   
  • To become an ARCHITECT, a candidate should hold a degree in Architecture, such as a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)/Bachelor of Planning(B. Plan)/B. Tech in Urban & Regional Planning or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship/ Diploma in Interior Design.
  • These courses would be five years, three years, or four years.

  • During the course, grab as many opportunities for internships or project work as a candidate can. These help the candidate gain insights into the kinds of tasks that can expect to perform in the future.
  • The internship duration would be six months or more, depending on the choice of the candidate.
