• To become a FASHION DESIGNER, a candidate should hold a graduation degree in Fashion Design such as B. Des. (Fashion Design)/ B.Sc. Design/ Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B. FTech)/ B.A. in Fashion Designing / BSc Fashion Merchandising or enroll in Diploma in Fashion Design.

• During the course, grab as many opportunities for internships or project works as a candidate can. These help the candidate gain insights into the kinds of tasks that can expect to perform in the future.
• One main benefit of an internship is that it allows students to develop further a portfolio that demonstrates their skills and creative sensibilities.
• The duration of the internship would be two months.

Who is a Fashion Designer?

     A Fashion Designer is a person who creates a specific look from a piece of clothing. This look includes the clothing’s shape, color, fabric, cuts, folding, wrinkles, and other such aspects of the material. A Fashion Designer is someone who designs apparel, like dresses and suits. Fashion Designers are often the head of a design team that works together to create new collections for their brand or company each season. Fashion designers are responsible for developing and designing garments, footwear, and accessories. Salary/Income of a Fashion Designer

       An entry-level fashion designer can earn about INR 3.92 LPA, and a fashion designer with more than ten years of experience can earn up to INR 30 L – 35 LPA. The highest salary of a fashion designer can go up to INR 60 LPA.
