      A  Textile Designer is a creative professional who designs prints and patterns for various materials, such as fabric and clothing, wall coverings, curtains, and other home furnishing materials. A textile designer is a person who manages the aesthetic aspect of textile production, including texture, color, and patterns. Textile Designers are artistic people skilled at drawing and have a distinct awareness of colors, patterns, textures, and basic design principles. A textile designer makes patterns and artwork for textiles. Clothing, wall coverings, drapes, curtains, pillows, towels, and other soft home furnishings include the designs of textile designers who often work in the fashion or interior design industries.

 Job Responsibilities of a Textile Designer

  • The Textile Designer’s primary responsibility is to design prints and patterns for various materials, such as fabric and clothing, wall coverings, curtains, and other home furnishing materials. 
  • Textile designer duties include creating designs for clothing and other accessories and making those designs come to life.  
  • Textile designer responsibilities may include overseeing teams of designers or other team members to make their designs a reality and marketing their designs for retail or other markets. 
  • The textile designer utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) programs for designs.

Qualify the College/University-specific Entrance Examinations for Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Technology e.g (B. Tech./B. E in Textile Technology) or many more programs   
  • Admission into the B. Tech./B. E in Textile Technology course is based on the candidates’ performance in the university-specific examination (if specified). However, it may vary from college to college; check the particular college rules and regulations before applying for it.

 

 

Enroll for Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Technology e.g (B. Tech./B. E in Textile Technology) or many more programs   
  • To become a TEXTILE DESIGNER, a candidate should hold a graduation degree in Textile Technology such as B. Tech./B. E in Textile Technology/ B.Sc. in Textile Design/ Bachelor of Design (B. Design)/ B.A. in Textile Designing or enroll in Diploma in Textile Manufacturing.
